Youth and Family Counselling and Support Services

South Kalgoorlie Youth Support Service (SKYSS)

A service for young people, secondary school age up to 18, who may be at risk due to a number of factors. These factors may include family conflict, truancy, drug & alcohol use including volatile substances, poor social skills, and isolation from their peers.

Young people may also be at risk if they have care responsibilities for a child/ren or a family Member with an illness and/or disability. The service works with and supports them to connect with appropriate support services, family members, peers and their communities using positive approaches that build on their skills and abilities.
