Community Case Worker

Full-time, Lockridge, $913.84 - $955.17 per week + Super + Salary Packaging

Centrecare is currently seeking a Community Case Worker to help provide counselling, support and healing to ehance the healthy function of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders deemed at risk. This can include their extended families and their families. This role is mainly outreach work. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders are strongly encouraged to apply. Some of the key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Implement a case management approach to service delivery including strengths based needs assessment.
  • Assist at risk families to gain access to Indigenous Australian, mainstream and specialist services as required.
  • Respond to, and provide crisis intervention supports to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families as required.

You will also need to demostrate the following criteria:

  • Recognised tertiary level qualifications in Community Development, Social Work, Social Sciences, Aboriginal Studies, Youth Studies and related disciplines are desirable.
  • Demostrate ability to work across cultures, especially with people of Aboriginal descent.
  • Working with Childrens Check
  • National Police Check
