Centrecare's Volunteer ProgramCentrecare Volunteer

Volunteers are united in a common goal with a shared desire to change the world they live in, to make it a better place. They can take direct action to address a need or cause they feel strongly about. Centrecare relies on the valuable support of volunteers who help us to change the beliefs of people and consequently the social isolation in our community. If you have some spare time and want to put your skills, energy and passion to work, have a look at the different ways you can volunteer within the service delivery of Centrecare's programs.

Centrecare Migrant Services

Centrecare Migrant Services (CMS) acknowledges and welcomes the important contribution made by volunteers to the work of the organisation.

Volunteers assisting migrants and humanitarian entrants have played a significant role in the settlement of our clients. Volunteers within our organisation represent everything that is worthwhile about the Australian sense of community and their work is effective in building bridges between cultures. For Centrecare, volunteers provides the opportunity to enhance and extend our current services and bring new energy and creativity to the programs.

The following opportunities to volunteer, gain experiences, participate and contribute to the community are available to people of all ages, backgrounds, interests and abilities.

Migration Advice Service

Centrecare needs the assistance of volunteers to help in our Migration Advice Service located at 25 Victoria Square, Perth. The Migration Advice Service provides immigration advice and assistance to financially, culturally or linguistically disadvantaged people in the community. Most clients seek advice on the Refugee or Humanitarian Migration Program.

You will assist our Registered Migration Agents in a number of support roles including administration assistance, researching legal matters and case law, and completing forms.

Before commencing your volunteer service you will be given training and support to enable you to provide the services we need. This is an excellent opportunity for you to gain work experience in the interesting and rewarding field of Immigration law.
