International Women's Day 2022 Toolkit
The Y WA Youth Parliament leadership program runs each year, giving young Western Australians a platform to have their voices heard and share what they believe in.
Applications have opened for the 2022 Youth Parliament.
Now in its twenty-seventh year, the annual program provides an opportunity for young people aged 15 to 25 years to express their views and propose solutions by assuming roles as Youth Members of Parliament (MPs).
Participants work in committees to develop a bill regarding an issue they care about before debating the legislation in State Parliament along with other youth issues.
Youth MPs also have the opportunity to meet some of Western Australia's most important political figures, meet other young people with similar interests and passions, and learn how to lobby for change in our community.
In 2021, 59 young people participated in the program and presented eight diverse bills across a range of important issues.
Applications close Sunday, 20 March 2022.
