The former chief justice of the Family Court has likened the treatment of children in immigration detention to that received by the Stolen Generations. Alastair Nicholson told a University of Melbourne panel discussion he is disgusted by the Federal Government's policy and also criticised the former Labor government's policy. Mr Nicholson said the current Government would go down in history as one of the most disgraceful ever if nothing changes.
