Why go to Counselling?

Life challenges may impact on all of us at some point in our lives. While many issues can be resolved with the support of friends and family, there are times when counselling can be of great benefit.

Counselling can offer you the opportunity to talk through issues, identify options, and make decisions that are right for you.

Counselling is a confidential way that individuals, couples and families can discuss any issues and concerns.

Our counsellors are trained to assist you with identifying options and making choices that are right for you.

All our counsellors and staff interacting with clients are qualified for their job role. They receive ongoing professional development, supervision and meet the requirements of the program they are working in.

Workshops

Centrecare not only provides counselling services, we also offer a variety of workshops. Please click here for our current workshop listing.

Suicide Prevention

As part of the aim to improve mental health and wellbeing to all Western Australians, the State Government launched the Western Australian Suicide Prevention Strategy 2009-2013.

On the 17th June 2010, Centrecare was appointed as the non-government organisation that will assume responsibility for the day to day work of the Ministerial Council for Suicide Prevention; the development and delivery of community awareness initiatives; and the coordination of training, research and evaluation of suicide prevention strategies across Western Australia. Centrecare are fortunate to have Edith Cowan University as its partner in this Strategy.

The WA Suicide Prevention Strategy will focus on the need to improve the mental health and wellbeing of all Western Australians.
