The Department for Child Protection and Family Support is coordinating the As Eye See It Photographic Exhibition.
The project has provided children and young people in care across Western Australia with a camera and invited them to take photographs of people, places and objects which hold a special significance for them.
Thirty two children and young people have opted to participate, and the resulting images will soon be launched and exhibited at the WA Maritime Museum in Fremantle.
The As Eye See It Photographic Exhibition project provides an insight into the world of young Western Australians currently living in out-of-home care.
Participants were given a camera and encouraged to submit photographs of things which hold a special significance for them.
The collection of images and captions is a poignant and honest exploration of their experiences.
