At the recent Australian Catholic Bishops Conference, the 2013–2014 Social Justice Statement, "Lazarus at Our Gate" was released reminding us that.....
“… although enormous progress has been made in alleviating poverty throughout the world, there is still a great amount left to achieve. It is estimated that by 2015 almost one billion people will be living on an income of less than $1.25 a day”.
