Tackling homelessness will cut crime, WA Chief Justice Wayne Martin says - ABC News

Western Australia's top judicial officer has called for more money to be spent on programs aimed at reducing homelessness and its causes in order to cut crime.

Chief Justice Wayne Martin said tackling homelessness was more likely to reduce crime than the "vast" amounts spent on police, the courts and prisons, during a conference in Perth to mark homelessness week.
