The Festival of Hearts 2015

12 February 2015

How does an organisation like Centrecare show love?
Through its annual 'Festival of Hearts' of course!

Valentine’s Day reminds us of the importance of our relationships with those we love.

Centrecare Festival of Hearts 2015

Again this year on February 13th (14th in Kalgoorlie) Centrecare staff across WA will be showing love through the annual Festival of Hearts. Staff will distribute 1,300 roses and cards to passers-by to give to someone they love in the spirit of St Valentine’s Day. This could be a partner, a parent, a child, a friend or a family member.

The Festival of Hearts is in its 13th year and its intention is to remind people about the importance of all relationships. Research has shown healthy family and social relationships have a positive impact on individual psychological and emotional wellbeing, resulting in strengthening people and communities.

This event is popular in the community, with many surprised people thankful for a very generous and kind gesture. Our staff enjoy spending time with local people and look forward to this event every year.

“Our St Valentine’s Day event is one way in which Centrecare recognises the importance of individuals and families coming together to celebrate healthy relationships. It is an amazing gift to give to people in our communities” said Tony Pietropiccolo AM, Director of Centrecare.

Centrecare Incorporated is a not-for-profit organisation which aims to strengthen people and communities through the provision of professional social services, inspired by compassion and recognition for human dignity.
