Walk for refugees and asylum seekers

Australians are invited to take part in Palm Sunday rallies or various walks for refugees across capital cities in the country to uphold the rights of refugees and asylum seekers and oppose the Australian government's refugee policies.

Community, church, political and union groups will gather across the country to march and rally for the rights of refugees and asylum seekers.

All are encouraged to start talking with friends, family and colleagues to encourage as many as possible to come together. Carry your school, church or organisational banner and show a strong Catholic presence at this year's Palm Sunday walks. It is a wonderful way to collectively show support for people seeking asylum.

Except for the Sydney March, when Palm Sunday falls on the state election weekend, most events across the country will take place on Palm Sunday, Perth details are shown with links to other state events listed below:
