Transitional Accommodation & Support Services (TASS) - Eastern Goldfields
Please note - A Referral to this service must be received from the Transitional Manger(s) at the correctional facility. TASS can provide assistance to a limited number of clients only.
A Centrecare service providing assistance to men in accessing accommodation (subject to availability) with the Department of Housing (DoH) upon their release from prison in the Eastern Goldfields area.
TASS provides re-entry support and mentoring services to men and women (see the eligibility for this service below) leaving custody for a transitional period of six months around accommodation provided by the DoH.
Clients will receive a combination of in-home practical assistance and community based services for themselves and their families, to increase their level of independence. The service provides informal counselling or advice, arranging group activities and linking to other available community resources and support networks.
TASS provides support that encourages individuals and families to promote self-worth and self-determination by developing skills and alternative patterns of behaviour. Clients will receive assistance to address their employment and other re-entry needs and to move into other stable accommodation.
